The sports minister presents Bulgarian Association of Sports Journalists awards

The sports minister of Bulgaria Daniela Dasheva presented the annual awards of the Bulgarian Association of Sports Journalists . 

Eduard Papazian from the daily newspaper "24 chasa" won the "Lupi and Michmana" prize for notable journalist's work in 2016.

The award is named after Ludmil Nedelchev-Lupi and Nikolay Kolev-Michmana - famous Bulgarian journalists, who passed away but left a huge legacy.

The event was held in the Sports museum inside the National stadium in Sofia and it was the first public appearance of the new minister.

For third consecutive year was awarded the prize "Lupi and Michmana" for lifetime achievement to the profession. And for the first time it was honored a photojournalist. The prize was awarded to the sports photographer Bonchuk Andonov.

As always for this event, many of the sports heroes of Bulgaria were present for the ceremony. World champions and olympic gold medal winners applauded the journalists who won the awards.

The families of Nedelchev and Kolev were also among the guests of the event.
